Mike Zani


Mike Zani – Chief Executive Officer

Based in the Greater Boston area, Mike provides overall strategic direction for the organization with emphasis on global growth and product development to drive outstanding client results. Prior to PI Worldwide, Mike served as CEO of ShapeUp, a social SaaS wellness platform, where he grew revenues by 600% in three years.  Mike currently serves on the board of directors for ShapeUp. Previously, Mike served as President of LEDCO, a manufacturer of rugged computer peripherals, Mike led its acquisition and its eventual sale to Havis-Shields, an industry leader in police radio consoles. It was at LEDCO where Mike, a customer of PI Worldwide, developed his passion for the Predictive Index as a vital management tool. Mike is a co-founder and partner of Phoenix Strategy Investments, a private investment fund, which acquired PI Worldwide in 2014. He also worked as a strategic consultant at marketing firm Digitas. An avid sailor, Mike began his career in marketing and sales with Vanguard Sailboats and was a Coach for the 1996 US Olympic Sailing Team. He holds a B.S. from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard.


Nancy Martini


Nancy J. Martini – Chief Strategy Officer

Nancy is the Chief Strategy Officer of PI Worldwide and a member of the Board. Based in Boston, Nancy assists with business strategy, execution flow, market position and external affairs. Prior to the acquisition by Phoenix Investment Strategies, Nancy led the company from 2007-2014 in the roles of President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. During her tenure, Nancy managed the company through the recession, substantially grew revenues, and expanded the organization’s footprint globally including a new presence in Singapore, China, Hong Kong and South Korea. Nancy was instrumental in guiding the company transition from family owned and operated to professionally owned and managed. Prior to PI Worldwide, Nancy was the CEO of Global Sales Alliance which was acquired by PI Worldwide in 2006. She joined PI Worldwide at that time to assist with the global rollout of the company’s Selling Skills system. Nancy is the co-author of Leadership, Helping Others to Succeed by Insight Publishing, author of best-selling Customer-Focused Selling by Adams Publishing, and author of Scientific Selling, Creating High Performance Teams Through Applied Psychology and Testing published by Wiley. Nancy holds a M.Ed. from Cambridge College in Psychological Studies.


Frank Hunwell


Frank Hunnewell – Chief Operating Officer

Frank oversees the Technology, Research & Development, Learning & Communications, and Finance departments and works closely with Nancy on strategic issues and new business opportunities. Prior to joining the company, Frank was the President and CEO of a specialty sporting goods brand, where his team created a new network of over 100 independent distributors in the US and eight export markets. He had previously been a Senior Consultant at Bain & Company. Frank is an Overseer of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and the North Bennet Street School in Boston. He recently completed his term on the Board of Corporators of Middlesex Savings Bank, a $4 billion mutual bank based in Natick, MA. Frank holds an AB (cum laude) from Harvard College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, from which he graduated as an Amos Tuck Scholar.


Todd Kokoszka


Todd Kokoszka, Vice President of Technology

Todd is responsible for technology strategy, software development, and technical operations. Prior to joining PI Worldwide, Todd consulted for start-ups and large corporations, assisting with technology strategy, project leadership, and due diligence. He was the CTO of payvia, a mobile payments company and Vice President of Software Engineering for Sybase 365. He has brought successful mobile payments and analytics offerings to market while building highly available SaaS platforms. He has a Master of Software Engineering from Auburn University, a MA Ed from Wake Forest University, and a BA from the College of William & Mary.


Michelle Kozin


Michelle Kozin – Vice President of Learning and Communications

Michelle is responsible for designing and implementing all of the enablement programs for the company’s global network of 400 consultants – including onboarding, learning and business development. She also manages the content and communications strategy for the organization. Prior to joining PI Worldwide, she spent many years helping organizations rapidly build and scale teams by leveraging the Predictive Index to find, hire and develop top talent. Michelle previously worked at Accenture as a Change Management Consultant where she specialized in addressing the organizational readiness needs of large enterprise software projects through training, communications and program management. Michelle earned a dual bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University where she was a Remembrance Scholar. She received her MBA from Babson College.


 

Matt Poepsal


Matt Poepsel, Ph.D. – Vice President of Product Management

Matt is responsible for overseeing the company’s product solution portfolio and roadmap. Prior to joining PI Worldwide, Matt co-founded Covocative, a web-based coaching software company. He previously served as the Vice President of Professional Services at Gomez, Inc. While at Gomez, he held a variety of roles including the leadership of the product management, sales engineering, consulting, and training teams. Matt spent six years in the US Marine Corps serving as an Arabic Linguist and a Reconnaissance Marine. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Excelsior College. He received his MBA and a second masters degree in management information systems from Boston University. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Capella University where he researched the effectiveness of technology-enabled coaching.


Mary Beth Cotter


Mary Beth Cotter, J. D. – Contracts and Compliance Counsel

Mary Beth is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and manages all contracts for the company including client agreements, licensee agreements, and vendor agreements. As Privacy Officer for the company, she oversees the company’s compliance activities with international, federal, and state privacy and security laws and regulations. In addition, she manages PI Worldwide’s extensive portfolio of trademarks and copyrights globally.

Mary Beth brings over 25 years of experience as senior counsel in the technology, human capital, and regulatory sectors at Fortune 500 and NASDAQ companies including Salary.com and Dragon Systems. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Corporation, which provides healthcare services in Boston metro west. Mary Beth holds a J.D. degree (cum laude) from New England Law | Boston, an MA degree from Villanova University and a BA degree from Regis College.


Helen Hailer


Helen Pepper Hailer – Director of Human Resources

Helen brings over 20 years of human resources management experience to PI Worldwide. Helen joined the organization in 2008 to implement and provide strategic direction for human resources programs including employment, benefits, compensation, payroll and employee relations.

Prior to joining PI Worldwide, Helen’s business experience included human resources management and consulting in various industries including health care and non-profit.

Helen earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Virginia Tech.
